Tin City and the Sand Dunes at Stockton
No two days are the same on the Legendary Pacific Coast and today is another unique experience. We meet up with Sand Dune Safaris who offer a number of Adventure Tours in one of their 13 seater purpose built Hummer 4WD and 21 seat 4x4 Coaster Bus in beautiful Port Stephens. Tours are taken across the magnificent Stockton Sand Dunes and surrounding area. They are safe and informative with expert tour guides. Experience a unique and exhilarating ride in a HUMMER 4x4 (ex American Airforce saw service in Iraq) designed for the whole family. Highlights include the Sygna Shipwreck, Tin City and sand boarding.

Hunter Region Botanic Gardens
A short drive leads us to The Hunter Region Botanic Gardens, which cover an area of 140 hectares, much of which has been preserved as natural bushland. The Gardens, which were opened to the public in 1986, are designed, developed and managed by a non-profit company of volunteers. The development of the Gardens was recognised in 1999, with the winning of the 'Significant Regional Attraction' award in the Hunter Regional Awards for Excellence in Tourism.
To welcome visitors, the Gardens have a Visitors Centre, outdoor cafe, gift shop and reference library. Devonshire teas and light lunches are served daily or visitors can picnic in the Gardens. Walks and excursions are organised regularly and there is a program of special events such as music in the

As we pack the car for the last time and start the trip home, we reflect on the wonderful things we have seen and enjoyed. But we also realise as to how much we haven’t had time to explore.
Maybe we will have to retire and see if this will give us the time to continue exploring the Legendary Pacific Coast. We’ll get back to you on that
Mature Traveller would like to thank all the members and officials, who helped plan and organise our adventure.
