Royal Celebrates the Relaunch of Australian Cruising
Royal Caribbean International is celebrating a milestone more than two years in the making with the cruise industry’s highly anticipated return to Australia.
2022 finally sees Australians taking to the seas, and what better way to fulfill their wanderlust than with Royal Caribbean this summer. The iconic cruise brand will be returning Down Under, bolder than ever before with two Quantum class ships sailing from Brisbane and Sydney starting in October. The much-anticipated news marks a celebratory moment for Royal Caribbean’s guests, team, partners and local cruising port communities, who have been waiting for this moment for more than 24 months and it’s only possible with their unwavering support.
“We are delighted that cruising has been given the green light to resume in Australia, and we can’t wait for even more guests to create lifetime memories spending their holidays beginning in 2022.
We've hosted over a million guests worldwide marking a successful cruise comeback, and now we can’t wait to bring the magic back to Australia,” says Gavin Smith, MD Australia and New Zealand for Royal Caribbean International. “What a way to kick off cruising again, with our two game changing ships Ovation and Quantum of the Seas. I know that so many Australian families have been waiting a long time for this moment, and we can now finally start creating special memories onboard again.”
Australians will finally have their pick of memorable holiday experiences with both Ovation and Quantum of the Seas delivering unparalleled, signature adventures against the picturesque beauty of Australia’s spectacular coastline this summer. Holidaymakers can take in the breathtaking sights from North Star – a world-recordholder as the highest viewing deck on a cruise ship or the RipCord by iFLY skydiving experience, both taking adventure to new heights.
