FitFlop for Ladies and Gents

Introducing the FitFlop Hyker for men

With increasingly busy schedules, men are often left with little time to exercise or re-energise and, if given the choice, most prioritise career, kids and kicking back over weights and cardio. The health implications of this are enormous, with heart disease, cancer, back problems and respiratory issues all on the rise. The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that effects of sedentary living are the number one cause of preventable deaths worldwide. With time at a premium, what men need now are easier ways to squeeze in a workout. Introducing the FitFlop Hyker, their first fully adjustable trekking sandal for men. The Hyker is built on the FitFlop’s famous MICROWOBBLEBOARD™ midsole, proven to activate leg muscles more during every step.  Research confirms wearers instantly experience significantly less shock (helping to mitigate lower back pain, knee and joint stress). The Hyker’s ergonomically-engineered midsole exhibits a unique FOOTFLOAT ™ effect, diffusing underfoot pressure and discomfort from conditions such as heel spurs and plantar fasciitis.

It’s a wear-on-your-feet antidote to toe-squashing, tight-laced weekday work shoes. So move over Rover, the new Hyker sandal may take over top spot as ‘Man’s Best Friend’.

Available from selected stockists around the country, the Hyker retails for $149.95.

• Unique FOOTFLOAT ™ effect, proven to almost immediately reduce high pressure hot spots underfoot by diffusing pressure over a greater area

• User-friendly, double-adjustable tumbled leather straps

• Superb cushioning and support for walking, hiking and holiday wear

• Post-athletic and/or injury recovery benefits

• Highly recommended for knee and back pain sufferers, or post surgery

• American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) Seal of Acceptance – awarded to products considered beneficial to foot health.

We all feel happier when we’re in good shape, but finding time to exercise is often more

difficult than exercise itself. But now time-poor Aussie women everywhere can get set for summer, stay in style and get a work out while they walk, simply by slipping on

a pair of FitFlop.

Merging fashion with function, FitFlop Footwear is proud to present its Spring/Summer 2010 collection – with an expanded range of Italian-designed styles that boast the same toning benefits that FitFlop fanatics around the world have grown to love, packaged in new fashion forward colours, elegant patent leathers and bejewelled, sequinned and studded uppers.

As a population obsessed with summer and a laid back style to match, there’s no denying the love affair that Aussies have with thongs. The ol’ rubber thong however, is fast becoming a thing of the past, with FitFlop revolutionising this common piece of summer footwear to create a flip flop that is not only fashion friendly but extremely beneficial for the body.

In fact, FitFlop’s patent-pending Microwobbleboard ™ technology midsole has been scientifically proven to:

• Increase leg muscle activation by 10-12% per step

• Increase bottom muscle activation by up to 30%

• Increase hamstring activation by up to 16%

• Reduce knee joint stress

• Reduce ankle joint stress

• Reduce foot pressure concentration

Testimonials from FitFlop wearers report not only firmer thighs, toned up calves and a reignited love of walking, but surprise relief from chronic lower back aches, knee pain, ankle joint pain, hip joint stress, and plantar foot pain.

So whether you’re opting for sporty chic or city sleek there’s an on-trend FitFlop style to suit every outfit this summer with styles starting from $89.95. For more information or to see the full Spring/Summer FitFlop Footwear range, visit www.fitflop.com.au

Editor's Report
We have been trying FitFlop's since before Christmas and although we couldn't measure the benefits, we certainly felt them. At first they feel strange, but after one day we were both looking forward to wearing them. My legs actually feel great and I can power walk for an hour and after cooling down, there were no aches or pang's that I used to suffer from.
Mature Traveller says that they are well worth the investment.
