ENJOYING THE UNIQUE HISTORY OF HAWAIIAN AIRLINES
Dallas Sherringham finds that flying between the stunning islands of Hawaii aboard the sleek Hawaiian Airlines fleet is one of the great joys of visiting the Island State, but it was a different proposition almost a century ago. Recently I learnt all about the airline’s history while flying to Las Vegas via Hawaii and enjoying an Extra Comfort seat.

Support the BUSH
Forget about overseas travel and support Australian destinations.
One of the best ways to see rural Australia is to use a regional airline and recently I was in a position that I had to fly from Merimbula, on the South Coast of NSW to Sydney. The airline was REX and the aircraft a Saab. An aircraft I have flown in many times when the airline was Hazelton.

Singapore Airlines Offered Exceptional Service
It is not often that I can laud an airline for exceptional service, beyond what is expected and paid for.
On my recent return trip, from Sri Lanka, I flew (paid for economy class) from Colombo to Singapore and then to Sydney, with Singapore Airlines (SQ).
Two days before leaving Colombo I had a fall an injured my right wrist, not broken but badly jarred. For comfort I was wearing a full sling, to ease the pain. On arrival at the ’well overdue for a rebuild airport’, I was having trouble wheeling my suitcase in the very long line of passengers trying to check-in.

Why Mature Travellers prefer Business Class
Barry Matheson reports
Airlines invest billions of dollars on new aircraft and spend just as much training staff to ensure their customers enjoy an extra special flying experience and, importantly, come back again.
While friendly service in the cabin at 38,000 feet is always a treat, I’ve found over many years of circling the globe on a variety of carriers, it’s the service you receive on the ground at check-in that usually sets the tone for a good flight.   Read on ...
