- An Anti-Inflammatory Gel - A product like Flexiseq is specially formulated to provide targeted pain relief and may also improve joint mobility.
- Supplements- There are many supplements currently on the market that are both cost effective and a natural way of providing relief to your joints. Supplements such as glucosamine help with enhancing the articular cartilage that surrounds our joint. Fish oil is another good one that helps with inflammation in the joints. It should be noted that a supplement should not act as a substitute for a healthy diet, and always check with your doctor before adding a supplement in to your diet.
- Exercise Band- Exercise bands come in varying lengths and sizes, and are easy to stow away in your suitcase. Using an exercise band will help strengthen cartilage around the joint, and aid with overall joint stiffness. This may also assist with decreasing inflammation and increasing blood flow to the joints.
- Foam Roller- A foam roller is another great tool that helps to decrease stiffness around the joints, and another easy item to pack. Foam rollers work by rolling out areas of connective tissue, and allowing the joint to move more freely. This puts less pressure and stress on the articular cartilage that cushions our joints. Please always check with a physiotherapist or doctor to ensure that foam rolling is appropriate for you.
- Compression Guard- Compression guards are worn under clothes and used mainly on the knees. Compression guards aid with decreasing inflammation and improving blood flow, and can also assist with providing joint stability while moving.
